Hair Botox vs Cysteine vs Keratin: Which Is Best for You?
The short answer: hair botox repairs, cysteine smooths gently while keeping natural movement, and keratin gives the straightest, sleekest finish. All three last around 3–4 months and cost the same at our salon — ₹4,500–₹8,999 by hair length — so the right choice depends entirely on your hair type and the result you want.

FormaldehydeFree (botox & cysteine)
The three treatments at a glance
Hair Botox — the repairer. A protein-and-actives filler that plumps and strengthens each strand from within. It doesn't straighten; it restores. Best for dry, brittle, chemically damaged hair, split ends and hair that has lost shine and elasticity.
Cysteine — the gentle smoother. Uses cysteine (an amino acid your hair already contains) to relax frizz while preserving your natural wave and volume. Formaldehyde-free and the gentlest smoothing option — ideal if you want manageable, softer hair that still looks like your hair.
Keratin — the classic straightener. Replenishes the hair's keratin protein and seals it in with heat for a sleek, straight, glossy finish. Best for stubborn frizz and those who want visibly straighter hair.
How to choose, by hair concern
Damaged, over-processed, dull hair → Hair Botox. Repair first; smooth later if you still want to.
Frizzy but you love your waves → Cysteine. It tames without flattening.
Want it straight and sleek → Keratin — or step up to nanoplastia, which lasts twice as long (6–8 months).
Coloured hair → All three are colour-safe; hair botox can actually extend colour vibrancy by sealing the cuticle. Colour first, treat after — ask your stylist about spacing.
“I was initially very skeptical about coming in for a hair Botox treatment, but the stylist, Satish, carefully assessed my hair and clearly explained what would work best for me, including how to manage it afterward. If you're looking for a hair transformation, I would definitely recommend this place — you're sure to have a ‘wow’ moment.”
That consultation-first approach is the point: our senior stylists assess your hair's condition and history before recommending a treatment — because the “best” treatment is only best if it's right for your hair.
Aftercare (same rules for all three)
Sulphate-free shampoo and conditioner only
Avoid washing for the first 24–48 hours (your stylist will confirm)
No needles, no botulinum — the name is a marketing analogy. It's a deep-conditioning filler of proteins, amino acids and actives that “plumps” the hair the way cosmetic botox plumps skin.
Which is safest for regular use?
Hair botox and cysteine are both formaldehyde-free and can be repeated every 3–4 months safely. Our keratin is applied under strict professional protocols.
Can men get these treatments?
Yes — we offer all three for men (up to 5 inches) at ₹3,500, plus nanoplastia at ₹3,999. See the men's grooming menu.
Keratin vs nanoplastia — which should I pick?
If you want maximum straightness and longevity, nanoplastia lasts 6–8 months vs keratin's 3–4. If you're new to smoothing treatments, keratin is a good first step at a lower price.
